04/03/26 Orientation to CNC ShopBot Milling - Friday Afternoon

This class is the second step in CNC training. You’ll review your project design from the CNC Design Orientation and get help troubleshooting any issues before milling.

Note: You will be guided on how to use the CNC machine in this class.

After this session, you’ll schedule a one-on-one training where a staff member will guide you through your first independant CNC milling project. You will operate the CNC under the supervison of STEAMSHOP staff to demonstrate that you are able use the equipment safely. You’ll need to submit your design in advance and bring your own materials.

Once you complete:

• CNC Design Orientation

• CNC Milling Orientation (this class)

• One-on-One Training Session

…you’ll be cleared to use the CNC equipment on your own.

Participation in this class is limited to individuals 18 years of age and older.
